Plant trees, avoid polluting the earth, use recycled products and we have heard enough, tell us something that is practically possible and new to us.
• From reactive to proactive:
If you thought you have enough time to fulfill your dreams, you must think again. Who knows what may happen next second? An earthquake or a hurricane or probably something of a much bigger magnitude might just rattle you and take away your happiness. These events are not unprecedented and have shown us time and again that Mother Nature is very patient but upon being irked can cause damage beyond repair. Who will you blame after a catastrophe? The Government for not doing enough It has been a reactive approach thus far but it would be really amazing if this can be changed to a proactive approach. He who anticipates shall never be doomed. Anticipate danger and try everything that you possibly can to avoid it.
Here are a few suggestions that are pragmatic and won’t require any effort:
• Don’t leave electronic gadgets on stand–by, turn these gadgets off to avoid contributing towards Global Warming.
• Buy smart, buy products that have been recycled and that can last long.
• Save water, I keep hearing this over and over again. Could you suggest me how to save water, I completely fail to figure this out?
Take shorter showers, this will also significantly bring down your water and electricity bill. Please remember the situation can go from bad to worse, imagine a situation where in you will have to fight to get water. Would you want to waste your time and energy fighting for water? The choice is entirely yours.
• Avoid buying books and movies this doesn’t mean you download pirated movies and books. Borrow movies and books from your friends and relatives to save money. This will also save loads of other resources like ink, paper used for printing and most importantly it will make this planet a much better place to live in. So I guess it’s time to enroll yourself in a good library. Please remember there is no other planet where human beings can go and ensconce.
• This is rather inane and I know all about planets. Well if there is so much awareness then why aren’t you taking steps to safeguard our planet?
